Oribe ware was named after Furuta Oribe, who studied wabi tea as a disciple of Sen no Rikyu. Furuta Oribe, who preferred unrestrained beauty to quiet beauty, had a deep love for Mino ware, known as "mysterious porcelain," and Oribe ware was born while he was teaching pottery. The green of Oribe ware is expressed in various ways depending on the kiln.
We have boldly abandoned the somewhat old-fashioned designs and colors that typically come to mind when thinking of Oribe ware, and instead created Oribe colors that are more suited to modern eating habits. Enjoy Oribe tableware that can be used everyday on the modern dining table.
Mug with a unique shape that has a narrow waist. It has a solid sense of stability like a teacup at a sushi restaurant, but is light. The handles are individually hand-kneaded and are a little thicker than normal ones so that they can be held tightly.
